Privacy Policy
How ytplaytime.com handles data: no accounts, nothing you paste into the tools is stored, contact messages are emailed not stored, and which third parties see what.
The short version
- There are no accounts, so we hold no name, password or profile for you.
- What you paste into the tools is processed to answer that request and then discarded — it is not saved to our database.
- No advertising, no analytics trackers and no tracking cookies.
- Contact messages are emailed to us, not stored on the site. Feedback-form messages are stored so we can read them.
Tool inputs
When you use a tool, your browser sends the link, ID, keyword or numbers you entered to our server. The server uses them to call the relevant data source, builds the result and returns it. The input and the result are not written to our database. The thumbnail preview, thumbnail resizer and timestamp tools run entirely in your browser; images you open there are never uploaded.
Your own YouTube API key
A key you paste under Advanced options is sent with that single request, used to call YouTube, and discarded. It is never stored or logged by the application.
Contact form
Your name, email address, subject and message are sent by email to the address our administrator has configured, so we can reply. They are not stored in the site's database. The email remains in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
Feedback form
Messages sent through the feedback form are stored with their category, the page you were on and — only if you type one — your email address, so the team can read and act on them. Leave the email blank to send feedback anonymously.
Technical data
To stop abuse, each tool is rate-limited per IP address. Your IP address is held briefly in the server's memory cache for the length of the rate-limit window (at most an hour) and is not written to the database. Like any website, our hosting may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and troubleshooting.
Browser storage
Your theme and language choices are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not sent to our server and you can clear them at any time. We set no cookies for visitors; the administration area uses a session cookie for signed-in staff only.
Third parties
- Google / YouTube — our server sends video IDs, channel identifiers and search terms to the YouTube Data API. Thumbnails, avatars and embedded players in results load from Google's servers, which then receive your IP address. Embedded players use YouTube's privacy-enhanced (nocookie) domain where available.
- Return YouTube Dislike — receives the video ID when you use the Dislike Checker.
- Internet Archive — receives the video ID when you use the Deleted Video Finder.
- incompetech.com — serves audio when you play or download a track from the royalty-free music tool.
We do not sell or share personal information with anyone for marketing.
Your rights
Because we keep almost nothing about visitors, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you sent us a contact or feedback message and want it removed, ask through the contact page and we will delete it.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will update this policy if our data handling changes, and change the date above when we do.
